This policy explains the information used to run the Sync storefront, provide licenses and support customers.
Who controls your data
The operator of this Sync storefront is responsible for the customer data used to fulfil your order and support your license. You can send privacy questions or rights requests through customer support.
Information we use
When you buy or create an account, the storefront processes the contact, account, order, payment-status, subscription and license details needed to complete the transaction. Payment credentials are handled by the payment provider shown at checkout; the storefront may receive a transaction reference and payment status.
When you request support, we process the message, attachments and technical details you choose to provide. The storefront and service may also process necessary security logs, device or license-validation information and cookie preferences to keep access working and prevent misuse.
Why we use it
- Orders and licenses: to process a purchase, activate and manage access, and answer service requests. The legal basis is performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before one.
- Billing and records: to issue records and meet applicable tax or accounting duties. The legal basis is a legal obligation where one applies.
- Security and support: to investigate errors, abuse, fraud and account access issues. The legal basis is contract performance and, where appropriate, our legitimate interest in protecting the service.
- Optional analytics or marketing: only where used and permitted by your choice or another lawful basis. Optional trackers are controlled through the site’s cookie choices.
Who receives the data
Authorised staff and service providers may access only what they need. Categories of providers can include SellAuth for storefront and customer-account operations, the payment provider selected at checkout, hosting, and support tools used to answer your request. Their own privacy notices can apply to services they operate independently.
If a provider processes information outside the European Economic Area, the applicable transfer safeguards and rights will be explained where required.
How long data is kept
Account, order and license records are retained while needed to provide access, manage purchases, resolve disputes and meet applicable legal record-keeping duties. Support messages are kept for as long as reasonably needed to resolve and document the issue. Security logs are kept for a limited period based on their security purpose. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or de-identified unless the law requires its retention.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent for the future. We may need to verify your identity before responding and may retain information required by law or to establish a legal claim.
Send a request through customer support. If you are in the EU, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this notice when our services or legal obligations change. Material changes will be communicated where required by law. The latest version is available on this page.
